1. A Note from Go Science
Thank you sincerely for choosing to spend your valuable time with us today.
At Go Science, your privacy, comfort, and confidence are central to how we operate. We are an online and offline retailer of physical products, and we understand that customers should be able to clearly understand what information is collected, why it is collected, how it is used, and which third-party service providers may be involved in operating our website, Android app, and iOS app.
We recognize that every retailer has its own philosophy and standards when it comes to handling customer information. At Go Science, we have chosen candor as our guiding principle because clarity and honesty matter to us as customers too.
Go Science does not sell paid digital content, in-app subscriptions, credits, coins, paid AI features, unlockable digital features, or other paid digital services in the app. Our apps are used to browse and purchase physical retail products, including STEM kits, robotics kits, science kits, educational toys, project kits, learning gifts, and related physical goods.
This Privacy Policy is intended to provide clear and practical information so that you can make an informed decision before using our Services. We describe our reliance on Shopify, Google Firebase, Google Gemini API, payment providers, delivery partners, analytics tools, communication tools, and other service providers.
Your use of our Services is voluntary. If our transparent approach resonates with you, we would be delighted to have you experience our Services. If you decide otherwise, we respect your choice. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should not use the Services.
2. Introduction
Go Science, referred to in this Privacy Policy as "Go Science", "we", "us", or "our", is a retailer that provides physical products and related retail services through:
our website, https://goscience.in;
our Android mobile application available on Google Play;
our iOS mobile application available on the Apple App Store.
Together, these are referred to as the "Services".
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, transfer, and safeguard personal information and other data relating to individuals who use our Services. In this Policy, such information is referred to as "Personal Data".
Our Services are intended for individuals who are eighteen years of age or older. Typical users include parents, guardians, teachers, schools, institutions, companies, hobbyists, and gift buyers who use the Services to browse and purchase physical Go Science products.
Our apps may display short descriptions about how customers can shop with Go Science, including references to retail stores, quick commerce, delivery windows, sourcing, or manufacturer-related context. Those descriptions are for customer information and do not change the categories of Personal Data described in this Policy.
By accessing or using any part of the Services, whether through the website, Android app, or iOS app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should discontinue use of the Services.
3. Our Role as a Retailer
3.1 Platform Reliance
Go Science operates as a retailer and relies on third-party technology platforms and service providers to make the Services available.
We use Shopify and, where applicable, other third-party solutions for website hosting, e-commerce storefront functionality, data storage, checkout-related infrastructure, and server-level security.
For our native mobile applications on Android and iOS, we also use Google Firebase for functions such as authentication, cloud database services, push notification infrastructure, backend operations, and related app functionality. On iOS, Apple Push Notification service, known as APNs, may also be involved in the final delivery of push notifications to your device.
We do not operate our own independent data centers, payment-processing infrastructure, or advanced cloud security infrastructure. These systems are operated by the relevant third-party providers.
3.2 Third-Party Applications, Platforms, and Plug-ins
To operate, improve, secure, and support the Services, we integrate or use third-party tools and service providers, including:
Analytics, business operations, platform operations, and marketing:
Zoho, Ecomus, Meta including Facebook and Instagram, Google Analytics, and related tools.
OTP, SMS, and voice support communication:
SMS Alert and Exotel.

Each third-party provider maintains its own privacy policy, security practices, retention practices, and data handling rules. You are encouraged to review the privacy policies of those providers for more information.
3.3 Scope of Responsibility
We are responsible for describing our own data practices and the third-party services we use to operate the Services. However, we do not own, control, or manage the internal systems, policies, or security frameworks of third-party providers.
Where Personal Data is processed by third-party service providers for operating the Services, we require or rely on those providers to process Personal Data only for permitted service purposes and to maintain privacy and security protections consistent with applicable law, their service terms, relevant platform requirements, and this Policy.
4. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect or process the categories of Personal Data described below.
4.1 Information You Provide Directly
Contact information:
Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address, used for order fulfillment, delivery, account management, and customer support.
Account credentials and authentication information:
Email address, OTP-based login details, email verification information, passwords where applicable, and related authentication information used for account creation, login, and account continuity.
Order and transaction data:
Billing address, shipping address, order ID, payment confirmation, purchase details, return or exchange information, and related order records.
Payment information:
Payment card details, bank details, UPI details, or similar payment credentials are processed directly by payment providers such as Razorpay and relevant payment or banking participants. Go Science does not store card numbers or sensitive payment credentials on its own servers.
Communications:
Messages, feedback, support requests, inquiries, and other correspondence you send to us.
AI chat messages in mobile apps:
Messages you send to Go Science AI in the Android or iOS app. These messages are transmitted to Go Science systems and processed using the Google Gemini API to generate responses.
Go Science AI request context in mobile apps:
When you use Go Science AI, the app may send technical and contextual information with your message so that the assistant can respond, personalize catalog recommendations, enforce fair use, and help prevent abuse.
Go Science AI request context may include a device or app identifier, Firebase anonymous authentication identifier, optional order or purchase indicators for physical goods where available, product or catalog context derived from your session, optional identifiers linked to your store account if you are logged in, optional age group or interests if you choose to provide them for recommendations, recent assistant or catalog context as implemented in the app, and optional image data if you attach a photo.
This information may be transmitted to Go Science systems and processed using Google Firebase and the Google Gemini API as described in this Policy.
4.2 Information Collected Automatically
We may automatically collect usage and technical data through cookies, pixels, beacons, log files, SDKs, APIs, and similar technologies.
This may include:
IP address;
browser type;
operating system;
device type;
network and connection details;
pages viewed;
timestamps;
product browsing activity;
session information;
analytics and performance information.
In the mobile apps, we may also collect or process:
Firebase anonymous authentication identifier:
A pseudonymous app or user identifier created through Firebase Authentication anonymous sign-in. This identifier is used for app functionality, push notification token handling, rate limiting, abuse prevention, service continuity, usage analytics, service improvement, and AI assistant functionality. It does not, by itself, directly identify you by name, email address, or phone number, but it may be associated with app activity, chat usage, push notification tokens, Firestore records, device or session information, or customer context where required to provide, secure, analyze, and improve the Services.
FCM push notification token:
A device-specific token used to deliver push notifications. On iOS, Firebase Cloud Messaging works together with Apple APNs.
App interaction data:
App-functional, aggregated, or usage data such as chat usage patterns, product views within the AI assistant, session duration, reliability information, and abuse-prevention signals.
4.3 Information Obtained from Third Parties
We may receive Personal Data or related information from third-party providers and partners, including Shopify, Firebase, payment processors, marketing and advertising partners, social media platforms, analytics providers, communication providers, and logistics or delivery partners.
We may also receive information when you interact with our emails, social media widgets, advertisements, tracking integrations, or customer support channels.
4.4 Information Stored on Your Device in Mobile Apps
Certain information may be stored locally on your device for convenience, continuity, or functionality.
Shopping preferences:
Optional, non-identifying inputs such as age group and general interests, for example robotics or puzzles, used to tailor product recommendations within the AI assistant.
Recent chat history:
A local copy of recent Go Science AI conversation context for continuity, stored in the app's private storage, with implementation varying by platform.
This section describes optional on-device copies. It does not mean that Go Science AI chat messages remain only on your device. When you use Go Science AI, the content you send is transmitted to Go Science systems and processed using Google Gemini as described in this Policy.
4.5 Children's Data
Our Services are intended for use by parents, guardians, teachers, schools, institutions, and other adults aged eighteen years or older who are shopping for STEM kits, educational products, learning gifts, robotics kits, science kits, project kits, and related physical products.
Our mobile apps are intended to be operated by adults.
To provide better product recommendations, Go Science AI may ask for an age group and general interest areas. This information is optional and non-identifying. It may be stored locally for continuity and, when used with Go Science AI, may be transmitted to Go Science systems and the Google Gemini API as part of the assistant request so that recommendations can be generated.
No child profile or child account is created for this purpose. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from individuals under the age of eighteen in a manner that identifies a child as the account holder of the Services. If such data is inadvertently provided, please contact us so that we may take appropriate corrective action.
4.6 In-App Notices and Consent for Go Science AI
We may show short in-app notices, including in the chat footer, welcome screen, consent screen, or information screen.
These notices may state that:
Go Science AI is powered by Google Gemini;
AI responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, or mistaken;
users should confirm availability, pricing, and product descriptions on the relevant product page;
messages are processed through Go Science systems and Google Gemini;
Google's terms and this Privacy Policy apply to such processing;
in the iOS app, the user is asked to provide explicit consent before the first Go Science AI message or optional image is sent for processing.
In the iOS app, before the first Go Science AI message or optional image is sent for processing, the app presents an explicit consent step to ensure that you understand and agree before Personal Data is shared with a third-party AI provider for that feature.
If you select "Not now" or do not agree, no AI request is sent to Google Gemini from that consent prompt, and you may continue browsing or shopping without using Go Science AI. Selecting "View Privacy Policy" opens the Privacy Policy and does not send an AI request.

By using our Services and providing your mobile number, you acknowledge and consent to receiving communications at the mobile number provided, including where the mobile number may be registered under DND or NCPR under TRAI regulations, to the extent permitted by applicable law and consent requirements.
For this purpose, you authorize Go Science to share or disclose relevant information with third-party service providers, affiliates, group companies, authorized agents, or communication service providers as necessary to send service-related, transactional, regulatory, or permitted communication.
5.5 Deliveries
We may share relevant order and delivery information with third-party logistics providers for delivery and fulfillment.
Such providers may include Porter, Rapido, Shiprocket, Shadowfax, and similar logistics or delivery partners.

Shopify Storefront API, Shopify Inc.:
Product catalog search, retrieval, storefront browsing, and related Storefront API operations. Data processed may include product search queries, product identifiers, and catalog-related data.
Go Science does not use Firestore to train machine-learning models on user chat transcripts. Product embeddings, where used, are built from Shopify catalog fields to support product discovery and search.
5.7 Future Integrations
We may add, remove, replace, or update third-party providers as necessary to operate, secure, improve, or support the Services.
If such changes materially affect how Personal Data is collected, used, shared, or retained, we will update this Policy as required.
5.8 Third-Party Disclaimer
We do not own or manage the internal systems of third-party service providers. However, we use service providers for permitted service purposes and expect them to process Personal Data with privacy and security protections consistent with applicable law, their service terms, platform requirements, and this Policy.

Our mobile apps and backend may include AI content safety filters, input validation, usage rate limiting, short-window throttling, and abuse-prevention mechanisms.
Go Science AI fair-use limits are not tied to the purchase of physical goods, subscriptions, paid digital content, credits, coins, or unlockable digital features, because the app does not offer those paid digital models.
6.4 Push Notifications in Mobile Apps
We may use Firebase Cloud Messaging, together with Apple APNs on iOS, to send push notifications, including order updates, service updates, offers, product-related messages, app-related messages, and occasional re-engagement messages.

If you disable cookies or similar technologies, some features of the Services may not work properly, including personalization, login continuity, analytics, checkout-related functionality, and advertising-related features.
7.3 In-App Browsing on Android and iOS
Our mobile apps present the Shopify storefront inside an embedded WebView.
On Android, this is generally through Android WebView. On iOS, this is generally through Apple WebKit / WKWebView.
Cookies and similar technologies used on those storefront pages follow the same general website and Shopify practices described in this Policy, together with controls available through Google, Apple, browser settings, platform settings, and device settings where applicable.
8. Data Retention and Transfer

We use third-party providers such as Shopify, Google including Firebase and Gemini API, Apple where applicable for App Store distribution and push infrastructure, and other service providers. These providers may process data in India or outside India, depending on their systems and infrastructure.
Third parties operate under their own privacy policies, security controls, and legal obligations. Go Science cannot accept liability for their independent practices, except to the extent required by applicable law.
9. Security and Liability
9.1 Security Practices
Website:
Encryption, hosting security, payment-related security, and data-center security are managed by Shopify, payment processors, and relevant infrastructure providers.

No online service, mobile app, website, network, storage system, transmission method, or security practice can be guaranteed to be completely secure or risk-free.

10.1 Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable Indian law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Go Science, including its affiliates, employees, representatives, contractors, and third-party service providers, from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from your breach of this Privacy Policy, misuse of the Services, unlawful or unauthorized actions by you, disputes with third-party platforms or service providers, or information you provide that is inaccurate, unlawful, or unauthorized.
10.2 Exclusion of Damages
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable Indian law, Go Science shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of data, service interruption, or consequences arising from third-party systems, even if Go Science has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in this section is intended to exclude liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
